Junior League to hold annual MLK Service Fair Jan. 21 to connect community with non-profits

Editor’s note: This press release was provided by the Junior League of Pelham.

On Monday, January 21st, the Junior League of Pelham will hold its 2nd annual Dr. Martin Luther King Service Fair. The event will be from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Daronco Town House, 20 Fifth Ave, Pelham.

In keeping with MLK’s vision of a “beloved community,” the event will connect members of the community with non-profit organizations in a meaningful and immediate way. Past partners, as well as new organizations, will be present with volunteer opportunities to exciteengage and empower members of the Pelham community.

The MLK Service Fair will also provide an opportunity for attendees to honor MLK’s birthday through our partnership with “The Birthday Project”, an organization whose mission is to host birthday parties at homeless and transitional living facilities across the country. Attendees of all ages are welcome to drop off a toy and/or volunteer to wrap gifts, create cards and decorations, and get involved with other fun party essentials.

Please save the date and join us on January 21st to see how you and your family can volunteer with various non-profits in Southern Westchester! We look forward to seeing you there!
