Interested in learning more about the Junior League of Pelham? Now’s your chance!

The Junior League of Pelham is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of its members, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. We work together to improve the lives of families, and promote the enrichment of Pelham and neighboring communities.

We have played defining roles in the founding of numerous noteworthy Pelham establishments, including:

  • The Pelham Art Center (www.pelhamartcenter.org)
  • Pelham Children’s Center (www.pelhamchildrenscenter.org)
  • Junior Wonders (juniorwonders.com)
  • Town of Pelham Public Library (pelhamlibrary.org)
  • Woodland Park
  • Weihman Park
  • Julianne’s Playground

One of the League’s biggest successes is its dedicated and sustained membership. JLP members have consistently gone on to become leaders in our community, holding elected positions, becoming deeply involved at other local non-profits and volunteer organizations, including PTA, Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum, the Pelham Preservation & Garden Society, the Pelham Art Center, Pelham Education Foundation, and the Pelham Picture House.

Membership is open to all Pelham women, and our new League year kicks off this September. All are welcome to attend one of our (no-commitment) informational gatherings on Tuesday, September 10th from 7-9pm at 7 Benedict Place OR Sunday, September 15th from 10am-12pm at 923 Esplanade to learn what the JLP is all about. Email us at [email protected] with any questions, or to RSVP for either information session.
