Lloyd Kolmer – Oct. 19

Lloyd Kolmer of Manhattan, formerly of Pelham, passed away on October 19th 2019. He was 89 years old. Lloyd was born in Manhattan to William and Birdie Kolmer. He was raised in Riverdale and attended Kohut School for boys in Harrison. Upon graduating he served in the US Navy, in the China Sea.

On his return Lloyd would settle down to a career and family. He started working in the mail room for William Morris Agency before working his way up in the company until starting his own talent negotiating business. He started Lloyd Kolmer Enterprises in the early 70s and negotiated endorsement deals with some of the biggest celebrities of the time. He moved from Riverdale to Pelham in 1960 and married Merle Salvo. He raised 4 children with Merle in Pelham and one from a previous marriage.

In his spare time Lloyd loved everything sports. From football to baseball to basketball, Lloyd watched it all. He loved to swim and spend time with his poodles which he had many of throughout his life. He also loved lobster, Cadillacs, Frank Sinatra and spending time in the sun. He will be remembered by his family as the man who did everything “My way.”

Lloyd is survived by his children; Lori Teilter, Lloyd Kolmer (Marina Kolmer), Keri Gutierrez, Vicky Sanso (Greg Sanso), John Kolmer and, his girlfriend of 21 years Margo Mayor Milkes. He will be missed his grandchildren; Nicolette, Nicholas, Joseph and Amanda and his great granddaughter Alison.

A celebration of Lloyds Life will take place at Pelham Funeral Home located at 64 Lincoln Ave. Pelham NY on Tuesday, October 22nd, from 4:00 – 8:00 pm. Lloyds burial will be private. For more information or to leave a condolence please visit pelhamfuneral.com.
