An astronaut. A character from “Stranger Things.” A hippie.

Pelham’s middle schoolers are preparing for Halloween in what may be their final years trick or treating on the big kid holiday. But it’s still big for them, and they’ll be out in interesting costumes seeking all that candy.

“I’m being an astronaut because I am interested in exploring space,” said Will Russello, a sixth-grade student at Pelham Middle School.

“I’m being Robin from ‘Strander Things’ because I thought she was extremely interesting and fun,” said Sydney Gorski, a PMS sixth grader. “Stranger Things” is a popular show on Netflix about supernatural forces and mysteries.

“I am being a hippie with my friends for Halloween,” said seventh grader Emma Bier. “We wanted to be this because of a cute picture idea on Pinterest and thought it could be a really fun costume.”

“I am being a Hydro Flask with a group of friends,” said Waverly Nanda of the seventh grade. “We picked it together and liked the idea.”

“If I dress up, I’m going to be a Chicago Bears fan,” said Henry Kagen, an eighth-grade student. “I had some of the things at home, but some things I had to buy. I had a jersey, but I wanted to buy a hat.”
