Elizabeth Ann Reddy – Nov. 5

Elizabeth Ann Reddy, a lifelong resident of Pelham NY passed away on November 5th 2019. She was 75 years old. Elizabeth was born in Fort Meyers Florida to Dr. John & Rita Haggerty. She was raised in Pelham where she attended St. Catharines elementary school and Pelham Memorial High School. Elizabeth furthered her education and graduated from Elizabeth Seton College where she studied to be a teacher.

Elizabeth married John Reddy her husband of 48 years. They both attended Pelham schools and would meet when she was in her early 20’s and marry at St Catharines Church in Pelham.

John and Elizabeth raised their four children in Pelham. In her spare time she loved playing tennis, swimming and bowling. She was an avid reader and loved collecting toys with her husband John. She was also a member of the Manor Club and Huguenot Yacht Club.

Elizabeth will be remembered as a lady with a dry and unique sense of humor, a caregiver, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She always had an open door for her family and friends. If given the occasion she would always throw a party.

Elizabeth leaves behind her husband John and her children Rita (David) Reddy-McConnell, Jay Reddy, Eileen (Michael) Lamb and Danny (Christine) Reddy. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren: Lilly, Riley and Maeve McConnell, Michael and Mackenzie Reddy, Rita Lamb; her brothers Brian and David Haggerty and sister Susan Kotite. She is predeceased by her parents John and Rita, her brother Jack and sisters Dr. Rita and Patricia.

A celebration of Elizabeth’s life will take place at the Pelham Funeral Home, located at 64 Lincoln Avenue, Pelham, New York on Friday, November 8th from 4:00PM to 8:00PM.  A mass of Christian burial will take place at St. Catherine’s Church, 25 Second Avenue in Pelham on Saturday, November 9th at 10:00 AM.
