Fake Twitter account messages followers of Superintendent Champ

The fake Twitter page for Superintendent Cheryl Champ includes her picture. Residents were warned not to respond to messages or tweets from the account.

An unauthorized Twitter account with a similar name to the official account has been messaging the followers of Pelham Superintendent Cheryl Champ.

The unauthorized account, @CherylChamp3, has been sending the messages, Champ said in an email. “Please do not follow or trust any tweets from @CherylChamp3 as they are not from me.”

The fake account is also using Champ’s photo.

Champ’s official account, @DrCherylChamp, has been deactivated until the issue can be resolved, the email said.
