Matthew Doré of Astoria, NY formerly of Pelham NY passed away on Tuesday January 7th 2020. He was 26 years old. Matthew was born in Lenox Hill Hospital to Stephen Doré and Peggy O’Leary on July 14th 1993. He was raised in Yonkers with his brother Michael until he was 12 years old. He attended Montessori School 31 before moving to Pelham where he graduated from Pelham Memorial High School in 2011. While attending PMHS Matthew started a writing club. He loved writing lyrics and poetry. Matthew would further his education by studying entertainment management.

Matthew will be remembered as a kind passionate gentleman. He was very confident, insightful and loved to dream which gave much inspiration for his writing. His music and spoken word can be found on Sound Cloud as Saint Emotions.

Matthew is survived by his parents Stephen and Peggy, his brother Michael, his many Aunts and Uncles, Cousins, friends and everyone he knew.

A celebration of Matthew’s life will take place at the Pelham Funeral Home located at 64 Lincoln Ave, Pelham, NY on Friday January 10th from 4-8 PM. A Funeral Service will take place at the Funeral Home on Saturday January 11th at 2:00 PM. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made in Matthews honor to robinhood.org and roadrecovery.org.
