The perennially dominant boys varsity hockey team has had a promising start to their season, with a mid-season league record of 5-4-2. Their success helped them rise to #7 in this week’s NYSSWA DII rankings. After starting at #10, the team has been rising through the weeks and currently hopes to continue their two-game winning streak.

“Every player wants to win as a team,” said sophomore Jordan Hurd. “No one tries to do anything by themselves, we are able to find success together.”

The team found success in two big wins last week over Baldwinsville and New Rochelle. They are hoping to keep the streak going with an important home game against #3-ranked John Jay on Tuesday.
