Rita“Blondie” Parisi, a lifelong resident of Pelham, died on July 28, 2018. She was 96.

Rita was born on July 29, 1921, in New York City to the late Dominick and Rosina DeCarlo. She worked for many years at Monroe College in New Rochelle.

She was predeceased by her husband Peter J. Parisi, who died in 1963, and her son Richard D. Parisi, who died in 2002.

She is survived by her son Peter Parisi and his wife Annamae; her grandchildren Michelle Lisa Bravi and Peter Joseph Parisi, and her great grandchildren Abbi, Max, Olivia and Kaya and her sister Dolores Shutts.

She was a loving wife and caring, devoted mother who loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed by her loving family and many friends.

Visiting hours will be Tuesday 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel Inc., 16 Shea Place, New Rochelle, N.Y., 10805. A funeral Mass is scheduled for Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Catharine’s Church, Pelham, N.Y. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery.
