Throughout his tenure, Mr. Molineaux has been a member of the Board’s Audit Committee, serving as its chair this school year. He has provided strong oversight of the District’s annual budgets, working to create efficiencies while also expanding the educational program through initiatives such as FLES, Mandarin Chinese, and STEAM offerings.

Throughout her tenure on the Board, Ms. Smith has been a champion of transparency, advocacy, and community engagement. She is the founder of the Community Advocacy and Community Engagement and Outreach committees (now Community Engagement and Advocacy Committee), instituted monthly Board of Education Coffees, and advocated for the Pelham Public Schools at the state and national level, earning her the New York State School Boards Association Advocate of the Year award in 2015. Ms. Smith supported a number of educational initiatives, such as the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme, FLES, STEAM courses, and Mandarin Chinese and was a leading voice during the Strategic Planning process. Additionally, she has worked to approve fiscally responsible budgets and most recently was instrumental in informing the community about the capital facilities bond, which was approved in May and includes a new Hutchinson School as well as a variety of other important projects.
