Seniors Kevin Coleman and James Carey and sophomores Stefano Grammatica and Carlo Volpe were named PMHS Athletes of the Week for their roles in the boys’ basketball team’s recent success. In the team’s 72-68 overtime win over Eastchester, Coleman had 10 points, 14 rebounds and 3 assists, Grammatica had 14 points, 3 assists and 2 steals while Volpe added 9 points and 10 rebounds. In the Pelicans’ 52-47 win over Harrison, Carey contributed 15 points, including hitting a three-quarter court shot at the end of the third quarter and making two free throws with less than 30 seconds left to help seal the win.
