A Feast for the Eyes

Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum will be holding an exhibition featuring contemporary art work with the opening reception scheduled for Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 2pm and on view through Sunday, May 26, 2019. The registration deadline is Friday March 15, 2019. The focus of the exhibition will be on the material culture of food and drink. Artwork does not have to be literal or traditional, but the theme of food and drink should be used as a creative launching point.Food styles and influences, the ethnographic context of dining, cuisines of the world, family life, food gathering, cooking methods, kitchen technology, agriculture, nutrition, and sustainability are just a few ideas to whet your appetite for inspiration.Visit our website for more information on eligibility and submission.
