While minor activities will occur at the site, the East 3^rd Street Bridge project is now considered complete.

The New York State Department of Transportation wishes to take this opportunity to thank the traveling public, and the Mount Vernon and Pelham communities specifically, for its support and understanding while we worked to replace the bridge. The Department is proud of the newly completed structure that offers many safety and environmental improvements, including increased clearance, improved access to Wolf Lane from the Hutchinson River Parkway, flood mitigation solutions and a new pedestrian sidewalk. In addition, work is planned to reconstruct the trailway and landscaping in the project area will be installed soon.
