Chance Mullen endorsed for mayor, helped residents with Metro-North track issue

We endorse Chance Mullen for mayor of Village of Pelham. A few years ago, when Metro-North installed new switches on the outbound side of the station, we began hearing a loud banging as each set of train wheels hit the switches. Recently, the sound got noticeably louder. We and a group of neighbors contacted the village board to ask what might be done. Chance, as the board liaison with Metro-North, met with us, took our issue seriously and talked to Metro-North. Soon, there were crews working over several weekends to replace track and switches, much reducing the noise. We appreciate his thoughtful diligence and think he would make a fine mayor.
