Siwanoy fifth graders invite students from other schools to Fifth Grade Movie Night
The Siwanoy School fifth graders have invited students from the three other elementary schools to a Fifth Grade Movie Night on April 5.
The Siwanoy students chose the movie “Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life.” The tickets are $11 and space is limited. Students should arrive at 6 p.m. to find a spot and socialize with other kids they will be going to middle school with next year.
Darcy Clarke, a student in Piera Hattar’s fifth grade class at Colonial School, said, “I’m going to go. It sounds fun. Yes, I’m excited because I really like seeing movies. I’m also very excited to meet the other fifth graders and know some other people before middle school.”
The movie is drop-off only and will be supervised by Siwanoy parents. Siblings are not allowed. Students should bring money because concessions will be up for sale. They should also bring sleeping bags and blankets to lie on.
“I’m not sure I’m going because I don’t like the movie they’re going to show,” said Maggie Memoli, a student in Jeneane Salerno’s Colonial fifth grade class. “I would like seeing new fifth graders, though, because it would help me in middle school.”
