Global Warming, lancing a boil, high school improv comedy—which of these would you pay $25 to see if dinner and a drink are included? If the answer is comedy, then do we have a show for you.  Yes – Pelham has a high school improv comedy troupe called the Pelicants. Yes, they have done shows once a month at the Picture House for three years. No, they do not make you come up on stage and make a fool of you!  Yes, they are funny.

Pelicants use sentences from the audience to start some scenes. Post a funny sentence as a comment for a scene starter and we will mention your name in the show.

Let’s support these funny people, who are actually funny and have been working at this for a while at much risk to homework and other academic and spiritual betterment (that is a word).  Some of them will go on to write and act in funny things that you will see on Netflix or whatever the future Netflix is, so you will be able to say, “I saw them at Rockwells,” and feel better than those around you, which is all we really want. Also, you will laugh. Please join us in celebrating an esteemed unique Pelham institution at Rockwells on Monday. Dinner is at 6:30 p.m., show at 7:15 p.m.

The Pelicants improve program is run by the Picture House Regional Film Center.
