Earlier this month, when the rosters for the USA College All American rugby teams were released, the east coast squad included PMHS alumnus Luke Persanis.

The All American team is composed of the top 37 players from east of the Mississippi considered the best at their respective positions. Persanis was a USA High School All American twice.

Persanis is entering his junior year at the University of Delaware and has been captain since the end of his freshmen year. He made the all-conference team this season and was picked to start and captain the Rugby United U20 pro team.

According to a press release from the PMHS varsity rugby coaching staff, Persanis has a 3.7 GPA, is in the honors college and has made the dean’s list in each of his semesters at Delaware. He graduated from PMHS in 2017.
