Meredith Heller and Emma McNulty win National Youth Arts Awards for performances in SOOP’s ‘Thoroughly Modern Millie’

Meredith Heller and Emma McNulty received National Youth Arts Awards for their performances in SOOP Theatre Company’s production of “Thoroughly Modern Millie.” The show also received six nominations.

That’s great! This popped up separately in my newsfeed. I guess I was just confused as to why there were two separate news stories for the same event — local winners of National Youth Arts.

I understand a few other Pelham students, PMHS faculty and guest artists were recognized with National Youth Arts Awards as well. Sock ‘n’ Buskin received seven awards and seventeen additional nominations.
