Angelina Nappi – 96

Angelina Nappi, a longtime resident of Pelham Manor, died on July 19, 2019. She was 96.

Angelina was born on January 5, 1923 in Williamsburg, Brooklyn to the late Frank and Mary Nunziata. She married Louis G. Nappi in 1943 and moved to Whitestone, Queens where they raised their children. They moved to Pelham Manor in 1982 and have lived there for the past 37 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Louis who died in 2014.

She is survived by her 3 daughters, Mary Lou Damiano, Geraldine DiNatale and Angela Mitrione; her 4 grandchildren: Dawn, Deanna, Denise and Dean; her 2 step granddaughters, Lauren and Nicole; Her 9 great grandchildren: Olivia, Miles, Ethan, Andrew, Phoebe, Tyler, Alexandra, Keira and Jake. She was predeceased by her sister Fanny and her brother Carlo.

Her hobbies included needlepoint, crossword puzzles, reading and cards. She was surrounded by family and friends, and lived a comfortable life before she developed dementia in her 80’s She was a wonderful homemaker, a loved wife and mother and shared many good times with friends.

Visiting hours will be Monday 2-4 & 7-9pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Pl, New Rochelle. A funeral Mass is scheduled for Tuesday 10am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Pelham Manor, NY. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
