A look inside Tig and Peach, Pelham’s new play space for small set
Tig and Peach is a new and exciting indoor-play spot for kids at 125 Wolfs Lane—a place to go when it’s too hot, too cold or pouring rain. Tig and Peach is for kids ages several months to six years old.
The new business offers open play, birthday parties and many different classes such as toddler yoga, baby movement, multilingual music class, STEM, coding and robotics, art and movement, and baby sign language.
In a Facebook post, Amanda Star, who co-founded Tig and Peach with Emily Donnelly, explained the idea behind their new business. “We dreamt of a cool and fun place we could spend hours at. A place where our kids could make a mess, and we didn’t have to worry about cleaning up after… A place that would bring our entire community of moms, dads, grandparents and caregivers together. Before we knew it, that dream turned into a business and that business was Tig and Peach!”
So by now, you may be wondering: Why the name Tig and Peach? “They were our nicknames growing up,” said Star. Star’s maiden name is Tigges, hence the nickname Tig. Donnelly’s nickname came from her love of the scent of peaches. In operation since Sept. 9, Tig and Peach is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and weekends from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
There are also many impressive instructors that run classes at Tig and Peach. Chloe, Tizzy, Lauren, Caitlin and Michelle were all introduced on Instagram.
Memberships are an option for Tig and Peach fans and include many perks such as discounts on classes and parties, complimentary activities, unlimited play during all business hours and much more.
