Consultants to present on—defend?—forecast of 29 school kids from new housing at Pelham trustees meeting

As submitted in April, rendered in center is the 34-apartment, six-story building Pelham RE Partners LLC proposed for 139 Fifth Avenue.

WXY Architecture + Urban Design will top the agenda at the Village of Pelham Board Trustees meeting Tuesday to discuss, perhaps defend, their forecast for the number school-age children new housing developments will bring to the village.

The eight apartment and condo developments under construction or proposed for the the village are predicted to result in about 29 school-aged children joining the town population, according to the study by WXY. 

Also on the agenda will be public hearings on two apartment complexes and a law to charge developers for the costs their projects impose on the village.

The meeting will be at Pelham Village Hall, 195 Sparks Ave., at 7:30 p.m.
