Laurentine Mary Viggiano a lifelong resident of Pelham passed away peacefully on November 13, 2019 at the age of 101.
Laurentine was born on September 27, 1918 in New Rochelle, to Blanche and Arthur Foley. She married Vito Viggiano in June 1937. They raised two children in Pelham, Arthur and Anthony. Laurentine was a homemaker and later worked for Sanborn Map Company in Pelham.
She is survived by her devoted son Artie, his wife Joanne & daughter -in-law Anne. Also survived by her grandchildren, Deborah, John, Jaime, Arthur and Christina Viggiano, Donna, & John Wilson, & Anthony & Jessica Viggiano.
She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Anthony, Victoria, James, Jenna, John, Juliette, Mia, Luciana, Sidney, Kristy & Ryan. Also survived by her two nieces Laura Taylor & Bette Peters. No matter how many miles away, they always took the time to give “Auntie” a gentle hug.
Laura was a member of the Pelham Seniors, enjoyed going to the meetings and playing cards with “the girls.” She was a strong & independent woman who loved her family, shopping watching the NY Yankees & getting her hair and nails done. But most of all she loved attending all the games and activities her grandchildren and great grandchildren were involved in. Great Grandma never missed a game, no matter the sport.
Laurentine was predeceased by her husband Vito, son Anthony, her sister Claire Vincent.
Celebration of Laurentine’s Life will take place at the Pelham Funeral Home located at 64 Lincoln Ave. Pelham NY on Sunday November 17,2019 from 2-6PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at Saint Catherine’s Church Pelham NY November 18th at 10:00 am.
