Pelham Town Board expresses sorrow at ‘senseless hate crime’ in Jersey City

Editor’s note: This press statement was provided by Pelham Supervisor Peter DiPaola.

The Town Board and I are once again are saddened to have to express sorrow to our friends in the Jewish community over another senseless hate crime in Jersey City. This outrageous hatred must be brought to an end.

It is shocking to me that this continues in our country against our own citizens and the peoples of the state of Israel.  Longtime allies of our nation in a region filled with conflict. Many of us profess that hate has no place in our land but not enough of us practice what we say.

I would like to express a solidarity with our friends of the Jewish Community in Pelham and mourn with them for the victims of this senseless hate crime.

Peter DiPaola

Supervisor of The Town of Pelham
