PMHS grad Ben Hurd named Hockey Player of the Decade for lower Hudson Valley

The Journal News and its online component, lohud.com, named Pelham Memorial High School alumni Ben Hurd as the Varsity Hockey Player of the Decade for the lower Hudson Valley.

During his tenure with the Pelicans, Hurd captained the team to their first-ever state championship and was named player of the year in 2016 after contributing 32 goals and 21 assists. In both his junior and senior years, he was named to the all-state first team after excelling for Pelham.

He is now studying at Brown after having graduated from PMHS in 2017.
