Pelham school board may award bond contracts, pass resolution honoring Anthony Senerchia Jr. on Wednesday

The Board of Education will meet at 8:15 pm on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 in PMHS Alumni Hall on the ground floor of Pelham Memorial High School, 575 Colonial Avenue, Pelham, NY 10803. Prior to the public meeting, the Board is expected to meet in Executive Session at 7 pm in the Superintendent’s Conference Room in the Central Office, 18 Franklin Place, Pelham, NY 10803.

At the meeting, John Sebalos, Director of Technology, will report on the role technology plays in the Strategic Plan. The Board may also act on a formal resolution honoring and memorializing Anthony Senerchia Jr. and the placement of the number 44 on the Glover Turf Field to celebrate his legacy. Additionally, the Board may award contracts related to the 2018 Capital Improvement Bond.

In addition to Dr. Champ’s Superintendent’s report, the agenda may include updates from each School Board committee, Finances and Facilities, and the three goal areas of the Strategic Plan: Cultural Competence, Authentic Learning, and the Whole Child.

The Board may also review and/or approve the following policies: 7510 – Student Health Services (Second Reading); 7511 – Immunization of Students (Second Reading); 7512 – Student Physicals (Second Reading); 7513 – Administration of Medication (Second Reading); 7515 – Head Lice (Second Reading). These policies are available for review on BoardDocs as part of the meeting agenda which will be available for viewing 24 hours before the meeting.
