New Rochelle, NY— February 14, 2020— Huguenot Yacht Club Junior Sailing Program announces their up-coming Open House on Sunday March 1st, 1-4pm for Huguenot’s Summer 2020 Junior Sailing Program, a full-day sailing and racing instructional program for kids and teens 8-16 years old.
“It’s an adventure-filled, local summer camp option.” said a local parent of two junior sailors at Huguenot Yacht Club Junior Sailing Program.
Established Summer Program
Established 40 years ago, the Junior Sailing Program offers beginners and advanced sailors a safe, caring and fun sailing environment. Coached daily, during the two offered sessions, junior sailors will learn seamanship, on-the-water safety, and racing skills. Sailors will also find an environment for making fast friends, enjoying organized games, provided picnic lunches and supervised free swim each afternoon in the Club’s pool. Many of our sailors will be offered opportunities to participate in racing regattas.
“Learning to sail not only provides a great way for kids to become self-reliant and practice personal responsibility,” says the working parent of a new sailor, “it’s also learning a life-long sport.”
Our Sunday March 1st Open House will introduce our program, the boats used, program staff and the Huguenot facilities. Visit our website http://www.juniorsailingclubhouse.com/ for details on tuition, boat rental, session dates and Early Bird Discount.
