Village of Pelham police blotter: March 3-10
March 3
3:46 p.m. — A resident in the area of Third Ave. and Sixth St. reported a suspicious person in the area. The reporting party stated that she saw a white male approximately in his 30s dressed in a “Joker” costume wearing a purple suit and white makeup. The individual appeared to be suspicious and was alone in a children’s playground. Units canvassed the area with negative results. Nothing further at this time.
7:15 p.m. — An officer met with a party who stated that on Feb. 27 at a location on 6th St. around 11:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. her phone and wallet were stolen. The party stated that she was sitting at a pool table and turned away for a short period of time, and turned back to find her phone and wallet missing. While searching inside the area for her possessions, three men walked in and stated that they had found her cell phone outside under her vehicle. The suspect individuals then left in a red vehicle headed towards New Rochelle. The complaining party then noticed that she did not have her wallet. She was able to cancel six out of the eight cards before any transactions were made. Six transactions were made, totaling around $250 all taking place on Feb. 28 between the hours of 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.. The only description the party can provide at this time is that the three males were all black. She is currently in the process of receiving more information. An owner’s deposition was signed and the complaining party declared that she would like to pursue charges. No further police action at this time.
March 4
10:59 a.m. — An officer was dispatched to a residence on Seventh Ave. on a report of larceny in the past. The complaining party stated that someone had gone into his vehicle and took money he had stored in the center console. He stated that the vehicle was parked and locked in the driveway at 4 p.m. the previous day. The next morning he went to move his vehicle and noticed it was rifled through. The vehicle remains undamaged with no visible pry marks. The party wishes no further than to document the incident.
12:59 p.m. — A party called headquarters to report a larceny in the past, from his vehicle parked at his residence on Second Ave.. The complaining party stated that between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. the previous night and that morning an unknown person entered his vehicle and stole an unknown amount of loose change. He also stated that he may have not locked the doors to his vehicle and that nothing of importance was stolen. The party wishes no further police action at this time and has no video surveillance of the event taking place.
9:00 a.m. — The department received a call from a resident of Seventh St. reporting a larceny in the past from her vehicle. She stated that between the hours of 11 p.m. the previous night and 9 a.m. the next morning an unknown person entered her vehicle and stole an unknown amount of change.
Aside from her contributions to the Examiner, she was the photography editor for the Pel Mel. She is a member of the SUNY Maritime High School Sailing...
