Village of Pelham Manor update: Weihman Park and Veterans’ Park open; Shore Park closed

Editor’s note: This press release was provided by the Village of Pelham Manor.

The Village of Pelham Manor continues to provide essential services in accordance with the Governor’s Executive Orders. As of this morning, Pelham Manor has eleven (11) confirmed cases of COVID-19.

Weihman Park and Veterans’ Park at Four Corners are open, while Shore Park remains closed, as we try to minimize the risk of exposure. Please stay home to the extent possible and exercise independently when in public. Please practice social distancing, in accordance with the Governor’s most recent Order. It is imperative for each of us to follow this simple practice, which is critical in reducing the spread of the contagion.

If you experience COVID-19 symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath), please call the Coronavirus Hotline at 1-888-364-3065 to speak with a representative and determine whether you should be tested at the Glen Island facility in New Rochelle. Walk-ins are not accepted. Please do not visit a doctor’s office or an emergency room without calling ahead first.

Please continue to follow the guidance issued by the CDC and the NYS and Westchester County Departments of Health. As a reminder, senior citizens, those with compromised immune systems and those with underlying illnesses are most at risk.
