Pelham Art Center offers free art kits through local businesses, creates online space to connect

Pelham Art Center has just announced a community initiative to distribute free educational art materials while people remain in their homes in the coming weeks. In partnership with eleven local businesses offering their services in store, or with curbside delivery and takeout, the Art Center is providing an Art Education Kit to local customers.
Each art kit contains a 24-page book about the life and work of a world-renowned modern artist. The kit includes everything you need to make artwork using that artist’s creative approach: brushes, paints, paper and palette! The activity book provides step-by-step instructions to create your own masterpiece–it is suited for all ages, for individual use or for a fun group art activity!
A free art kit is available when you shop in store or pick-up from one of the following businesses starting this weekend and continuing while supplies last:

Connect & Create
Art is a powerful source of calm, comfort and perspective. Pelham Art Center encourages everyone to find artistic outlets at this time, and to connect with others via online platforms. As part of its community art initiative, Pelham Art Center will host several online Community Art Hours this April. Connect & Create with Pelham Art Center will be a free, all-age virtual creative space where participants will create, share and discuss art. Executive Director Charlotte Mouquin will host Connect & Create on Zoom the following dates:
