Robert Edward Kelly – Aug. 2

Robert Edward Kelly died suddenly at his home in Norwalk, Connecticut, on August 2.

Robert was born in the Bronx on February 20, 1964 to the late Robert Kelly and Mary Kelly, who died in April 2020. The family moved to Pelham Manor when Robert was eight. Robert was a 1982 graduate of Pelham Memorial High School, where he was a member of the football and wrestling teams. Growing up, Robert played the violin. Starting in high school, he played the bass guitar in several bands that performed around Westchester and New York City. He attended Iona College in New Rochelle, NY, where he was on the football and diving teams, and he graduated in 1986. He worked for many years at Computer Associates (later Broadcom) as a Global Account Director for the Financial Services Industry.

Robert was a boating enthusiast and a long-time member of The Huguenot Yacht Club, where he held office. He also was a dog lover, and lavished love and attention on his dogs Max, Murphy and Medo.

He is survived by his fiance Vlatka Vidacek, his sister Christina Kelly, brother-in-law Dalton Ross, nephew Dale Ross and niece Violet Ross. He is also survived by his cousins, aunts and friends. He will be missed by many people who loved him.

A wake for Robert will be held this Friday August 7th, 4-7pm at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk, Connecticut.

And church service at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Jerome Church, 23 Half Mile Rd, Norwalk, Connecticut.

Robert will be put to his final rest in Croatia at his fiancé’s family grave.
