Car drops 15 feet from lot behind Rockwells and flips over, requiring extraction of two

A car flipped over after dropping 15 feet from a parking lot behind Rockwells American on Saturday night, requiring Pelham and Pelham Manor firefighters and Pelham police officers to extricate two individuals from the vehicle, according to a statement on the Pelham Professional Firefighters Local 2213 Facebook page.

The accident victims received care from firefighters and paramedics from the Pelham town fly car before they were transported to the hospital by Empress EMS units.⁣

The driver and the passenger were not identified.

Responding to the scene behind 105 Wolfs Lane were the Pelham Fire Department’s Engine 5 and Ladder 2 along with Village of Pelham police, 38Medic1 and Empress EMS. When the units enroute learned the car had dropped 15 feet off the ledge, an engine from the Pelham Manor Fire Department was requested and additional Pelham manpower was called on, including Car 2352, Engine 4 and Rescue 45. ⁣

Before the extraction from the upside down vehicle, “the vehicle was stabilized, (and) a precautionary line was stretched,” the statement said.

⁣The Pelham Fire Department drone was deployed to use its thermal capabilities to canvass the area for other victims and to assist with scene lighting. ⁣

⁣”We wish the patients well and a speedy recovery,” said the statement. “This is another example of how working together, under any circumstance, complex incidents can be resolved quickly and safely.⁣”
