State puts up online Covid tracker for all public schools

The New York State Department of Health has put up an online dashboard that will track infection rates and new cases of Covid-19 at every school in the state. While the web page is available now, it won’t display live data until schools begin to provide it.

“The state is requiring all school districts to report daily data on the Covid infection rate and new cases at every school,” Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Tuesday in an email.  “This dashboard will provide parents, teachers and students with comprehensive Covid data for every school that will be updated on a daily basis, including positive infections of students and staff, and percentage of on-site students and staff who test positive.”

The state has also launched a tracker for all 64 colleges and universities in the SUNY system.
