Village of Pelham salutes legacy of Paul A. Daronco

Editor’s note: This statement was provided by the Village of Pelham.

We in the Pelham Community salute the life and legacy of Paul A. Daronco and offer our heartfelt condolences to his wife Margaret and the entire Daronco family.  Mr. Daronco chose to live his life helping others and serving his community.  He was a Village of Pelham Trustee and Mayor.  He also served as Town Supervisor, Volunteer Firefighter and Governor of the New York Athletic Club. Those that knew him understood his joy for life, the sea, and his family.  We are fortunate to have had such a generous and vibrant man in our midst and we are grateful for the contribution he made to our community.

For the remainder of the week, our flags in the Village of Pelham shall be flown at half-mast, and bunting will be added to the facade of the firehouse where Paul once served.

Let us reflect on a life well lived as we remember and celebrate Mr. Paul A. Daronco (March 2, 1936 – October 20, 2020).
