Dear Pelham Community:

I wanted to share information related to some changes to spectator attendance and traffic flow at JV/Varsity home contests this year. Due to the pandemic, sections around the state including Section One Athletics are recommended to follow the CDC guidelines to keep all our students, staff, and community safe during the fall athletic season. We have a luxury with our Glover Field facility to host multiple games at the same time, however this also presents some logistical issues related to traffic and drop offs.

Moving forward, two parents/guardians per athlete can attend their child’s home games on District property. Our coaches will provide the athletic office with the names of the parents/guardians who will attend a particular game so that the Athletic Department can maintain records for contact tracing purposes, if necessary.

Additionally, we are asking the public to help alleviate parking issues at the Glover Complex by following these procedures:

  • Parents/guardians who are dropping off students, any student athlete who is driving to and from Glover, or any parent/guardian attending a tennis match should use the back parking lot off Secor Lane by Friendship Field.
  • Any parent/guardian who is attending an athletic contest other than tennis should use the front parking lots off Sandford Boulevard.

We would like to have as many people as possible to attend all contests, but at this time we will need to follow these protocols to ensure a safe environment for our athletes, coaches and spectators. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
