Pelham Manor police blotter: Nov. 18 – Dec. 2
Nov. 18
A caller reported an automobile accident regarding the Bee-Line bus on Boston Post Rd. and Ely Avenue. The caller hung up, however officers were still dispatched. Upon arrival, the bus driver was found trapped in the vehicle. It was reported that a truck driving behind had hit the bus. The bus driver’s legs were injured and he was transported to a hospital.
Nov. 25
A motor vehicle was hit by a deer on the rear passenger side of the car. Officers were already on scene due to a previous incident at the location. The deer was injured and moved to the lawn of a nearby house. Officers euthanized the deer and removed the body from their property.
Nov. 27
A party with a scheduled court date of Sept. 3 failed to appear in court for a previous traffic and vehicle violation. The party was arrested for bail jumping in the third degree, a class a misdemeanor. The party was taken custody in White Plains and later processed in the Pelham Manor Police Headquarters.
Nov. 28
On the above date, a vehicle was stolen from a local gas station. Officers pursued the vehicle into Mount Vernon and notified the local Police Department. The vehicle owner was in line at the store when an employee notified them that their vehicle was being stolen. At approximately 8:56 am, police were notified and the vehicle was located and a case file was created. No further information.
Nov. 29
A Scarsdale Security officer called reporting an active alarm due to the indication of motion at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Pelham Manor. Officers were dispatched to the location. Upon arrival all exterior doors were found open, however, the interior was checked and secure.
