PMHS club collecting to donate gift cards to ten families in need
To the editor:
I am a sophomore at Pelham Memorial High School and the treasurer of the Do Something Club. We participate in several community service activities such as the polar plunge and selling stickers to raise money for the Special Olympics.
Covid-19 has caused a significant financial burden to families all over the country and families in our hometown, Pelham. Unfortunately, this means that the holidays will be a particularly challenging time, and our club aims to donate gift cards from local businesses to ten families in need.
We are accepting donations through Venmo, to the account James-Fair68 or Katie-Brandler as well as gift card donations from any business, big or small. Gift cards can be dropped off at room 133 at the high school. donations from any business, big or small. Gift cards can be dropped off at room 133 at the high school.
The drive ends on Dec. 21.
