GOP, Dem caucuses to be held Tuesday to pick candidates for Pelham Manor mayor, two trustee posts on March ballot
The Democratic and Republican party caucuses will be held Tuesday to select candidates for the Village of Pelham Manor elections on March 16.
The terms of Mayor Jennifer Monachino Lapey, Trustee Joseph Senerchia and Trustee Angela Michelle DeLillo, all Republicans, are up this year. None of them have yet announced whether they plan to run again.
According to Marin Zielinski, chairwoman of the Pelham Democratic Committee, the party is “hopeful candidates will emerge.” The party will not know how many candidates want to run until the night of the caucus.
The Democrats did not field candidates in last year’s village election. All the members of the board of trustees are Republicans or ran on the Republican line.
