Norah Duff – Jan. 21

Norah Duffy was born on April 4, 1921 and passed on Jan. 21, 2021. What a wonderful woman. Born in Hedford, County Galway, Ireland, she moved to London where she was a nurse during the World War 2 Blitz. She moved to New York, met a man, married him, had two children, moved to Northern Ireland, had three more and came back to New York. That’s a lot of resettling for one person.

She was the kindest person I ever met. I’m so fortunate to have been able to call her mom. She also had a great sense of humor. I’m gonna miss that so much. She loved traveling. But she could never do it until I got a job with Pan American Airlines. Her sense of humor almost got us in trouble when I took her through the Berlin Wall. She loved Mexico, London and Munich. And all the people she met loved her in return.

Rest in peace mom. I always have and always will love you.
