Citing excellence and dedication on school board, supports Miller for reelection

To the editor:

I am writing to express my enthusiastic support for Eileen Miller for the Pelham Board of Education. Miller has been an excellent and dedicated board member for the past three years during which time she has brought her tireless, collaborative work ethic to the school board. During her tenure, the board of education has selected and appointed four principals, one assistant principal and one director of technology, and led the community through the pandemic. I am so excited that my children will be in school full time—safely—as of Monday and thank the school board and Miller for their hard work in collaborating with the district on this.

It is clear that Miller loves her work on the board. From acting as chairwoman of the strategic planning committee and the policy committee and as a member of the advocacy and community engagement committee, as well as meeting the regular demands of the board, she knows full well what is involved, and she is eager to continue. As was evident from the candidate forum, Miller’s relevant experience will allow her to hit the ground running this coming term with no learning curve!

Pelham is lucky to have five candidates running for the board of education, and I applaud all the candidates for their generosity of spirit in volunteering for such important roles. I am voting for Miller so that she can continue to dedicate her experience, knowledge and enthusiasm as an integral member of the Pelham Board of Education. I encourage all Pelham voters to join me on May 18 in reelecting Eileen Miller to the board of education so that she can continue the excellent job she has done for all students of Pelham. Thank you.
