Polls are open in the Pelham Middle School gym from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday as residents vote on a $80.3 million proposed budget that raises taxes 2.47% and to fill two school board seats from a list of five candidates.

The tax increase is under the state cap of 3.9%. Spending grows 4.67% in the proposed 2021-22 budget over the current year’s spending plan. The district made available the following documents on the budget:

One-term trustees Jess Young and Eileen Miller are seeking reelection, while Ian Rowe, Janice Powers and Michael Owen-Michaane are running for three-year terms on the board for the first time. The top two vote getters will win the seats. Links to the candidates’ statements:
