Reminder: Gasoline-Powered Leaf Blower Ordinance

The use of gasoline-powered leaf blowers is prohibited in the Village of Pelham Manor from May 1 through October 14 of each year. Exceptions exist only for utility companies, municipal or school district emergency operations, or to remove storm debris following storms. Friendly Reminder Please Curb Your Dog

This is a friendly reminder to please curb your dog.  The Village has received numerous communications from residents about dog waste not being properly disposed of, and left on private and public property.

Section 67-3 of the Village of Pelham Manor Code (click here) specifically calls for dog waste to be cleaned up immediately, unless it was on the pet owner’s private property. We are all neighbors, so let’s do the neighborly thing and please clean up after your dog. To those who already do this, thank you.

Traveling This Summer – Dark House Notification

If you plan on being away or on vacation and you would like the Pelham Manor Police Department to check on your home in your absence you can call 914 738-1000 and relay the information to the desk officer. Also, please remember to lock your car doors at night.

Upcoming Board of Trustee’s Meeting June 14^th

The Board will meet for its regularly scheduled bi-monthly meeting on Monday, June 14th, at 8:15pm. The agenda for the meeting can be found by clicking here or below.

Among the many topics to be discussed at the Board meeting will the Introduction of Local Law 2 of 2021 (regarding Gasoline Powered Leaf blowers), scheduling of a public hearing on Local Law 2 of 2021, and the monthly in-person reports from the various Village service departments.

In accordance with Governor’s State of Emergency Order and its subsequent guidance, people who are fully vaccinated do not need to wear a mask or social distance, BUT may choose to do so. People who are unvaccinated will need to wear a mask and observe the protocols with regards to social distancing.

The meeting will be live on FiOS channel 46 and Altice/Cablevision channel 75.  The meeting will also be broadcast live, on the Village of Pelham Manor Facebook page – click here AND the Pelham Manor Viemo page – click here.
