Attempted burglary at LaGravinese Jewelers on Tuesday night
A burglar smashed a front window of LaGravinese Jewelers on Fifth Avenue late Tuesday night in an attempted break in.
The burglar did not get into the shop, but stole a few display rings that were not real jewelry, according to Det. John Hynes of the Village of Pelham Police Department. The department is not releasing a description of the suspect or suspects at this time.
According to News 12, an owner of LaGravinese said a man used a pickax to smash through the store window.

This was a bold attack given that the store is about 200 feet from the Pelham police station.
