Village of Pelham: Oakridge picking up appliances Saturday

I hope you are beginning to see some light at the end of the tunnel as we continue to recover from last week’s storm.

Sanitation crews from Oakridge were out today picking up white goods (appliances) throughout the Village. If they did not get to you today, they will be back in the Village tomorrow, so please leave any remaining white goods curbside.

On Tuesday, September 14, Congressman Bowman’s office is holding a FEMA Assistance and Local Resources Webinar for residents going through the process of what to do after the storm. You can register for the event here: https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_0GaXjEyrQ56SCKgnWbz2OQ

Also, FEMA announced on Thursday the opening of two disaster recovery centers in Westchester. They are located at the Grinton I. Will Library, 500 Central Park Ave., Yonkers, NY 10710, and the Mamaroneck Village Court, 169 Mt Pleasant Ave., Mamaroneck, NY 10543. They will be open from 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. daily, until further notice. People may also register with FEMA online at www.disasterassistance.gov, or by phone by calling 800-621-3362. Individuals who have a speech disability or hearing loss and use TTY should call 800-462-7585 directly. These toll-free telephone numbers are operated from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. seven days a week with multilingual operators.
