PMHS student struck by car in vicinity of Wolfs Lane and Boulevard, suffers minor injury

A Pelham Memorial High School student was hit by a car Thursday morning while walking in the vicinity of Wolfs Lane and Boulevard West, according to an email sent by Superintendent Dr. Cheryl Champ.

The student suffered a minor injury to their leg, but is recovering well after being evaluated at a nearby hospital.

“This incident underscores the importance of driving safely and obeying all local traffic laws as well as pedestrians adhering to safe practices when walking in our town,” Champ said. She commended the timely response of first responders.
