School board to review pandemic’s impact on learning, hold executive session on person’s employment history

Editor’s note: This press release was provided by the Pelham Union Free School District. The release has been modified to reflect the following announcement from the district: “Please be advised that the start time for the Board of Education’s anticipated executive session on Wednesday has been changed to 7 p.m. The public meeting/work session will still begin at 7:30pm in the Pelham Middle School library.”

The Board of Education will meet at 7:30pm on Wednesday, October 20 in the Pelham Middle School library located on the 2nd floor of Pelham Middle School, 28 Franklin Place, Pelham, NY 10803. The meeting can be viewed on YouTube live. Prior to the public meeting, the Board is expected to meet at 7pm in the Middle School Chorus Room and immediately enter into executive session to discuss the employment history of a particular person.

The Board will be joined by District administrators and staff for a work session on Academics During the Pandemic. The Board is not expected to conduct any business at this meeting.

Members of the community are welcome to attend the work session in person. Consistent with recommendations from the CDC, individuals who attend the meeting will be required to wear a mask/face covering and maintaining physical distance from others is strongly recommended, to the extent possible.
