Charles Paris – Oct. 18

Charles Paris of Pelham, New York passed away on October 18, 2021, at the age of 75. He was born in the Bronx to Beverly and Hilda Paris and was one of 4 children. He was raised in the Bronx where he attended Evander Childs High School.

Charles Was an Army Vet and served during the Vietnam Era. Charles graduated from Adelphi University in Long Island, NY with a Master’s degree in Social Work. After College Charles worked as a social worker at a methadone clinic at Beth Israel Medical Center for 41 years. He was committed to helping those in need. After retirement he opened a substance abuse practice in Mount Vernon.

Charles loved his family more than anything. He practiced Martial Arts for 18 years with his sons while they were growing up and he achieved the level black belt. Charles loved traveling, Jazz music, and was a classic car collector. He will be remembered as a caring, loving father, husband, and grandfather. He will be missed by his family, friends, and everyone who knew him.

Charles is survived by his three sons; Tarik (Lawren) Paris, Matthew Paris, Robert (Carla) Paris, his beloved grandchildren; Ava, Mya and Damian and his nieces and nephews. Charles is predeceased by his wife; Karen Paris and his three siblings.

A celebration of Charles’s life will take place at the Pelham Funeral Home located at 64 Lincoln Avenue, Pelham, New York on Thursday, October 28, 2021, from 4PM-8PM. A Service will be held at 10AM on Friday October 29, 2021, at Pelham Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Rose Hills Cemetery located at 101 Mill St, Putnam Valley, NY 10579.
