Pelham defeats Sleepy Hollow; improves to 9-2

PMHS Boys Basketball is on a roll. Monday’s 77-36 victory over Sleepy Hollow pushed the boys to a 9-2 record, with bigger matchups ahead.

The team showed its depth on Monday, with everyone checking into the game and getting on the stat sheet. Pelham’s offense is firing on all cylinders with a 19 point performance from senior captain Matteo Johnson, 18 from junior Charlie Schellhammer, and 14 for senior captains Charlie Gutch and Garret Jenkins.

With just one game against Harrison before Pelham takes on rival Eastchester, the boys have showed very little holes in their play. Pelham should handle 0-10 Harrison on Wednesday, which would push them to 10-2, before playing the first game of the year against Eastchester on January 14th. This one will go a long way towards deciding the league title and propel either team to the top of the ranks in the section.
