Pelham boys hockey defeated the ETBE Eagles (Eastchester, Bronxville, Tuckahoe, Edgemont) Wednesday night 4-1. This capped off a five-day run in which the Pelicans won four games.

The Pelicans were decked out in new centennial jerseys to honor PMHS’s 100-year anniversary. Junior Louie Marcellino had an astonishing game, scoring all of Pelham’s four goals. He also got his 100th varsity point. Marcellino was assisted by junior Eric Elbery (2) and senior captain Ben Rosenberg (1). Junior goaltender Jack Mallinson had a great game as well, only allowing one goal on more 20 shots.

The five-day stretch included a trip to Massena. Here, the boys defeated Potsdam 17-2 and then beat Massena 6-1 in back-to-back games. The Pelicans were then on a quick turnaround, playing the Clarkson, number two team in Section 1, large school division. They defeated Clarkstown 11-6 and finished the run off with Wednesday’s win against ETBE.

Pelham, with a 14-2-2 record, moves onto a game Tuesday against Rivertowns.
