Champ to hold three talks on proposed budget and capital reserve—at which questions WILL be answered

This spring, Dr. Champ and members of the Board of Education will be holding a number of in-person and virtual community engagement sessions for Pelham residents. These events include three sessions specifically about the proposed 2022-23 school budget and an additional series called “Let’s Talk,” which will provide an opportunity for District leaders to hear from members of the Pelham community. More information about these events is below:
2022-23 School Budget Discussions
In advance of the May 17 annual School Budget Vote and Board of Education member election, Dr. Champ will host three upcoming budget discussions that are open to the Pelham community. The budget discussions will be as follows:
- Monday, April 25 at 7pm in PMHS Alumni Hall
- Wednesday, April 27 at 8:45am via Google Meet
- Wednesday, April 27 at 7pm via Google Meet
Each discussion will include a presentation of the 2022-23 proposed school budget and the proposal to establish a capital reserve as well as an opportunity for attendees to ask questions.
On Tuesday, May 17, 2022, polls will be open in the Middle School Gym from 7am-9pm. Information about absentee ballots and voter eligibility is available on the District website.

With the warm weather on its way, these sessions are intended to give parents and community members an opportunity to meet with members of the Board and district leadership in-person. We’ll pick a few topics we specifically want feedback on, but feel free to bring up anything.
