PMHS rugby books spot in state championship game after beating Grand Island in semifinal
PMHS rugby took down Grand Island Saturday in a 65-17 victory in the New York State semifinals.
The Pelicans will battle for their fourth state championship Sunday against Dwight Academy, which defeated Syracuse in the other semifinal match.
The Pelicans have qualified for states in five of the last six seasons. In addition to three state titles, the team lost in the big match once and captured the regional championship last year when there were no states due to the pandemic.
